Reception Summer Term 2017

The children have had a fantastic summer term despite a very rainy beach trip, we still had a great time! We don’t mind getting wet and enjoy investigating water and watering the plants.

We have been very creative, made our Dad’s ‘Beach scene’ Fathers Day cards with torn paper and loved playing in our ‘Under The Sea’ role play area. Here are some mermaids asleep after a hard day dancing! We love making a band, I’m sure we’ll be famous one day!

Our PE practise prepared us well for Sports Day!

We have worked hard both in class and at home and most of us have received a ‘Dip in the basket’ prize for collecting 20 Homework House Points. We have persevered with difficult challenges as well. Isaac got all the way across the monkey bars this term after trying all year and lots of us have learnt to skip.

Our class ‘Eco Warriors’ did us proud and we won £250.

We had a great time at the Summer Fair and everyone made over a £1000 in the process.

We have made the most of every minute outside. We picked Rasberries from our garden to have at story time and on the very last day some Cody managed to capture a butterfly for everyone to have a closer look. Don’t worry we let it go shortly after! Happy Birthday to all the children who have summer birthdays including Ava and Reece who were poorly for the last week.

I have loved being in Reception and look forward to moving to Nursery in September. I hope everyone has a fantastic summer holiday, stay safe!
