British Science Week

The whole school has had a great week celebrating British Science Week! Each class took part in a variety of practical and engaging science experiments over the course of the week to investigate ‘Changes.’

Year 3 and Year 4 visited the Great North Hancock Museum to take part in a ‘Bones and Burials’ workshop, linking science with history.

We met a real life engineer! Mrs Elliot was an engineer in the Armed Forces. She talked to us about her career, and we asked her lots of questions to find out more about engineering and science.

To celebrate the end of the week, we had a special assembly with scientists from Green Shift Educational Services Limited. They showed us some COOL scientific activities. We discovered that STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) are really important, and that science is FANTASTIC!
