On Monday, both our girl’s football teams were in action at the Washington Hub in the Maria O’Doherty memorial trophy.

Both teams give their all throughout the full day. Putting in some great performances, scoring great goals and showing a real togetherness and team spirit.

One of our teams finished 3rd in the tournament following a narrow semi final defeat but then going onto win the 3rd/4th place playoff in a penalty shootout.

Their achievements mean they have now qualified for the country finals event where they will go against teams from across Tyne and Wear.

A truly fantastic achievement!!
