As part of our learning ‘All About Me’ our Three Year Old Nursery children have been looking closely at our faces in the mirror and thinking about the features such as eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, cheeks, ears. We painted self portraits and we talked about how our faces can sometimes show how we are feeling inside and if we are happy, sad, cross, scared, surprised or excited. We hunted for the different pebble faces in Forest School and tried to name the emotions and copy with our own funny faces. Then we created our own faces using natural objects.  We finished our morning with a hot chocolate, biscuit and a game of  ‘Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes’.
