As part of British Bird Watch week have been trying to identify and spot different types of Birds in Forest School and count how many we have seen. We have spotted pigeons, crows magpies and seagulls. We are hoping our bird feeders will attract some of the smaller birds too like sparrows, robins, blue tits and chaffinches. We talked about the features of birds and that they have wings feathers a beak claws. We learned birds make their homes in a nest which they build with their beaks and that they lay eggs which hatch into chicks. We collected twigs, leaves, straw and feathers to make our own nests.
