Year 1 have been making waves in their art lesson. In our first art lesson we looked at the different ways we could draw lines (and learnt some very tricky to say words!)- horizontal, vertical, diagonal, wavy, cross-hatch and broken lines. Last week we looked at an artist called Zaria Forman who likes to draw pictures of water. Her images looked so real we thought they were photographs! In two groups we made huge drawings of the sea using wavy lines and different mediums in the colours we had seen in Zaria’s work. Then we added some creatures that we may find living in the sea.
