As part of National Nursery Rhyme week the children have been singing the song ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’ which they have enjoyed lots after seeing a little mouse in Forest School a few weeks ago. We learnt the makaton sign for mouse and clock before visiting Forest school to look for clocks. Some of the children were able to recognise some of the numbers on the clock and could say which number the little hand was pointing to. Next we made our own little Hickory Dickory Dock mice adding big soft ears and a long tail. We made a huge clock then sang the song adding extra verses about different animals and used the drum to count the beats to show the different times. ⏰ 🐁
