Year 6 Visit to Nissan Skills Foundation

Today year 6 enjoyed visiting the Nissan Skills Foundation.

They worked collaboratively in teams to use their Scratch coding skills to program the Crumble Bot robots to move in a number of regular shapes. One of our experts succeeded in moving the robot in the shape of a decagon. Next, the pupils had to program their robot to move around a variety of tracks that resembled parts of the Nissan plant assembly process.

Year 6 also visited the training robots on the factory floor, learnt about some of the career opportunities within the plant and discovered some fascinating facts about the production process.
