In DT, Year 3 have been designing and building castles. We have looked at the features of a castle, including turrets, towers, a flag, a drawbridge etc. We designed our own castles including key features to appeal to a specific person/purpose. We drew and labelled a castle design using 2D shapes, and created 3D shapes using nets. We made facades from a range of recycling materials. After construction, we evaluated our completed to work to identify strengths and further improvements/ modifications we could make. We used our STEM skills throughout the project.
