A Butterfly is Patient

This week we read a non fiction book called ‘A butterfly is patient! which had beautiful illustrations and lots of facts about how butterflies. In Forest school we searched for beautiful butterflies in the bushes and trees then created our own transient art butterflies using leaves and other natural resources. We talked about a butterfly having antennae to smell and feel with, a very long tongue called a proboscis which is a bit like a straw and they use to suck nectar from the centre of flowers and 4 wings which are the same colours and patterns on both sides (symmetrical ) We then planted some of the tyres with wild flower seeds and flower seed bombs, which Darcie brought to Nursery. Hopefully, when these grow they will attract lots of butterflies and bees to Forest School 🐝🦋
