As part of our learning about Chinese New Year, some of the Nursery children visited Forest School to create a huge dragon from wooden logs. We found out that red is a very lucky colour so searched in the bushes and trees to find red objects which we used to decorate our two headed dragon! We then practiced the Makaton sign for dragon before reading a lovely story about a dragon called ‘Sylvia and Bird’ by Catherine Rayner. After our hot chocolate we had lots of fun climbing trees which is so good for our confidence and resilience and physical development.
