The children in nursery took park in several different Chinese themed activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. We explored the coloured rice in the sensory tray with spoons and pans, made Chinese lanterns, finger printed blossom trees and practised our Chinese writing. We had fun in the Chinese restaurant making our favourite Chinese foods and ended the week with a food tasting session. The children enjoyed the noodles, rice, spring rolls, prawn toast and a sweet and sour dip. The children loved tasting the different foods however, we all agreed the dip was a little sour!
