Before the Easter holidays, the girls had to travel to Peterlee for the 1st round of the county Cup that they qualified for earlier in the year by finishing in the top 3 of the South Tyneside Cup competition. 

The 1st round saw them play in a 5 team round Robin tournament where the top 2 teams qualified for the next round. 

The girls played against teams from Durham, Peterlee and Sunderland. 

They finished in 2nd place meaning with a record or 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat, they qualify for the next stage of the County Cup.

The girls showed great passion, energy, teamwork and played some fantastic football, scoring a few great goals along the way. 

They are doing so well with most having only started playing football in September.
