Science/STEM Week-
In preparation for ‘British Science Week’ next week, Year 3 today took part in an online interview with a real life engineer! Nicole Stott is an American aeronautical engineer and retired astronaut. She completed two space missions and talked to the children from her home in Florida about the importance of STEM subjects in school. She was a very inspirational lady who got us all thinking about future career choices. She shared some important messages about resilience and how important it is to work hard to achieve your goals. Many schools across the country took part. Maxwell was even lucky enough to get a shout out when Nicole chose his question ‘How do you know which direction to travel in space?’ to discuss mechanical engineering and science! It was really interesting and has got us ready to invent, engineer and inspire.
