Today our KS2 librarians visited the library at The Word. Jolene the librarian showed the children around the library and told them how the books are sorted on the shelves. She discussed the Dewy system for sorting non-fiction books then the children had to identify book genre by their numbers on the labels. They could also chose books themselves to read. The librarians will be telling the rest of the children back at school in an assembly more information about how to join the library. We even had a few minutes before returning to school to look at the exhibition in the Word and to build with Lego.
