This week in Forest School our Three Year Old Nursery Children celebrated Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Light. We learnt that Rangoli patterns and Diva Lamps are often used during the celebration to decorate peoples homes inside and out. We searched in Forest School for little Diva lights glowing in the trees and then used these and lots of natural materials, to create our own circle shaped Rangoli patterns. We were lucky enough this week to also see a tiny mouse who was making a nest in the dry leaves and sticks and collecting food ready for hibernating during winter time. The children were fascinated watching the little mouse. 🐭 🪔
