| Great North Run 2025 – We have secured more charity places again for the 2025 Mini and Junior Great North Run which is taking place on Saturday 6th September 2025. Mini GNR (age 3-8) and Junior GNR (age 9-16). Your child can join Team Toby and run for us! Entries cost £20 with a pledge to have as much fun as possible and to raise as much money as you can for The Toby Henderson Trust. | XR Therapeutics – Working with anxieties and fears.Thank you to everyone who visited us at Toby House last week to explore our new unique intervention to support autistic children, young people and adults with generalised anxieties, phobias or fears. This service uses carefully stepped, adaptive and person led CBT alongside interactive scenes through an immersive Virtual Reality Screen. | The Autism Hub, South Tyneside – The Hub runs regular events in South Shields that are specifically for our families in South Tyneside. Here’s how they can help: “Is your child aged between 5-17? Have an EHCP or a diagnosis? Then they could be entitled to a free concessionary travel pass! You can also find out about our independent travel training programme that equips and prepares young people with the skills needed for their next steps in life. Just call in on Tuesday 8th April 10am – 2pm.Easter Sibling Workshop – We are running a Sibling workshop during the Easter holidays at the Autism Hub. This is a free 1-day workshop on Wednesday 23rd April 10am – 2pm for children/YP aged 8 – 17 years living in South Tyneside, who have an autistic sibling or a sibling undergoing the diagnostic pathway. This is a ‘drop off’ session for siblings only, parents are not required to stay. Places are limited, booking essential. | Northumberland PDS Time to Talk – TIME TO TALK is our our face-to-face monthly post diagnostic support group at The Toby Henderson Trust in Bedlington. This group is for Northumberland parents/carers only of children and young people of ALL ages. The group is free to attend and is for parents & carers who live in Northumberland and their child has a diagnosis of Autism. It is a chance to come along and meet and chat with other families as well as our experienced family support team. | Book Club – Come and join us once a month at Toby House for our Book Club for parents of autistic children. The idea behind it is that the group will work differently to traditional book clubs where they commonly choose a specific book to read and members discuss at the same time. There is NO expectations that parents/carers have read a book prior to attending. We have different monthly themes relating to Autism and Neurodiversity.
