Year 4 are continuing to enjoy their weekly ukulele lessons. This week some percussion instruments were added into the performances.

As part of our 'Tell Me a Story' Art this term Year 2 have been exploring different types of lines to create textures. We have learnt to draw different types of lines such as squiggles zig zags cross hatched and stippled and scribbles. We then experimented with different mediums such as charcoal chalk felt tips crayons and pencils. We put these skills together and learnt to sketched lightly the outline shapes of our teddies before marking the outline and adding details, then finally lines to create the texture of the fur. World Mental Health Day in Year 3- Today October 10th marked World Mental Health Day. This year, the theme was ‘mental health in the workplace.’ As school is our place of learning, we all came in wearing yellow to celebrate the day. We discussed our mental health, how we can keep our minds healthy and who we can talk to if we need help. We voted on what we would like to do with the help of our school councillors, who kindly gave everybody a yellow ribbon to wear. We spent time outdoors in nature exploring and doing some gentle exercise. We had relaxing music playing and completed mindful colouring. We talked about different feelings using the characters from the movie ‘Inside Out.’ To end the day, we all completed a gratitude journal and shared positive messages whilst acknowledging all of the lovely things that we have to be thankful for.
