Two Year Olds Nursery
To celebrate World Sleep Day we all came into the two year old nursery and Isobel room in our PJs . We loved singing ‘Sleeping Bunnies’. We had lots of fun pretending to sleep and when we woke up we hopped around the nursery like bunnies.

Three Year Olds Nursery
Three Year Old Nursery children celebrated World Sleep Day by coming to school in our favourite pyjamas. We talked about why a good nights sleep is so important to help us mend and grow and learn and to stop us from feeling grumpy and tired and getting poorly. We read a story about a little girl called Lola who did not want to go to bed and learnt about all the things her brother Charlie did to help her have a good bedtime routine and feel sleepy. We used the ideas from the story to help us get Teddy ready for bed. We gave him a warm drink of milk and bedtime snack, gave him a nice bubbly bath, dried him and put his pyjamas on, cleaned his teeth, read a bed time story, had a cuddled, listened to some calm lullaby music then
turned down the lights and tucked him up with his teddy. Some of our children learnt some bedtime yoga poses which help our bodies and heads to relax and feel calm before bed
