This week elections for school councillors have taken place at Lord Blyton. This was the first time that the children in year 1 have had the chance to be school councillors. Last year’s school councillors from Year 1 came to talk to us about the role and then the children decided if they would like to be one. Those who wanted to be one then made a pitch to the rest of the class about why they would make a good school councillor. Then the children took part in a secret ballot, voting for who they wanted to become Year 1’s class councillors. We counted the votes and we can reveal that Year 1 voted for Shelby and Rumi! Well done to them!
