Year 3 DT- Cooking and Nutrition

In preparation for cooking, year 3 have been looking at where food is grown and produced around the world. We looked at how food is imported and exported around the world, and have considered the environmental impact this can have. We researched seasonal foods grown in the UK and discussed how the weather and climate has an impact upon farming and food production. We decided that summer was the most fruitful month, and have designed fruit tarts using seasonal ingredients. We can’t wait to make (and eat) them. Watch out for the photos!
