In Year 3, we spent the afternoon talking about the theme of Mental Health Week which this year is ‘Let’s Connect.’
We sat with different children so that we could make deeper connections with our friends and classmates. We made individual paper chains decorated with pictures and words about ourselves. We then ‘connected’ them together to make one long class paper chain. We also made puzzle pieces that fitted together to make a class display and went to the forest garden to connect with nature and the outdoors. Our wellbeing buddies from Year 5 joined us along with Caroline Riddler from the Healthy Minds Team. We had a lovely relaxing and enjoyable afternoon and really valued spending the time making meaningful connections with each other.
