This term, Year 5 have been learning about and making bridges in their design technology lessons. We learnt about beam bridges, arch bridges and truss bridges. We looked at materials we could use to build bridges and their advantages and disadvantages. We learnt about how strong triangles are and made our own wooden truss bridges using triangles to make them as strong as possible.
