Year 6 hold a VE Day Celebration

Year 6 held a VE Day celebration yesterday to mark the end of their topic on WWII. The morning was spent preparing food and making decorations and then the afternoon consisted of a tea party with our tables in the shape of a V for victory, traditional outdoor games and 1940s music. Children were invited to dress up in WWII attire or Union Jack colours to mark the occasion. A busy but enjoyable day was had by all…although the sardine paste sandwiches weren’t a great hit!
